SynopsisHimitsu Sentai Gorenja、 Himitsu Sentai Gorenger With ambitions of world domination、 the Black Cross Army repeatedly destroy and slaughter everything in their path、 causing a great deal of damage worldwide. In response to such a threat、 the United Nations establishes an international peace organization called Eagle to counter the Black Cross Army around the world、 but the Japanese bases of Eagle are dealt a devastating blow. The young men who miraculously survived the attacks to the Japan bases: Tsuyoshi Kaijo、 Akira Shinmei、 Daita Oiwa、 Peggy Matsuyama and Kenji Asuka、 are gathered into the Shinjuku base by Gonpachi Edogawa、 the commander in chief of Eagle’s Japan block. There、 Edogawa informs them that they must form a special unit equipped with Eagle’s special equipment in order to break out of this situation. They are assigned to the unit、 and by wearing special suits、 Tsuyoshi transforms into Akaranger、 Akira into Aoranger、 Daita into Kirenger、 Peggy into Momorenger、 and Kenji into Midoranger. They face off against the Black Cross Army as the Secret Squad Gorenger.This is the first tokusatsu superhero show in the Super Sentai series、 based on the original story by Shotaro Ishinomori、 produced by Toei、 and broadcast from March 1975 to March 1977 on the TV Asahi network. Hiroshi Miyauchi、 who played the role of Akira Shinmei in this series、 had played the role of Kamen Rider V3 prior to starring in Gorenger. After playing Aoranger in this series、 he played many roles in the Super Sentai series、 such as Naoyuki Miura、 the chief of staff in Chouriki Sentai Ohranger、 where he leads and unites the heroes.
