SynopsisBlocker Gundan IV Machine Blaster、 Blocker Army IV Machine BlasterThe Moguls、 after losing their mother planet that once existed between Mars and Jupiter、 have been living beneath the ocean on Earth for 200 million years. However、 led by Hellqueen V、 the Mogul establishes the Undersea Empire and starts to invade Earth.Prof. Yuri forms the Blocker Army consisting of four giant robots、 called Machine Blaster、 which is completed by him after designed by his close friend Prof. Hojo、 who had anticipated the invasion、 based on an ancient document left by a Mogul named Nostler for the sake of the earth. To maneuver the Machine Blaser、 a pilot has to use a supernatural power called elepath. Then、 pilot candidates having such an ability are gathered from all over the world.Among the candidates、 Tenpei Asuka、 a delinquent youth、 has an outstandingly superior elepath because he is a descendant of Nostler.Although struggling with his fateful roots、 Tenpei pilots the Machine Blaster and fights against the Undersea Empire to defend Earth、 together with the other members of the Blocker Army、 Gensuke Ishida、 Billy Kenjou、 and Jinta Hayami. Tenpei also works with Yuka Hojo、 Prof. Hojo’s daughter、 who first antagonizes him because of the resentment of the Mogul who killed her father、 but is later reconciled. This anime series was produced jointly by Nippon Animation and Ashi Productions as the first original robot series in Japanese animation history and aired on the Fuji Television network from 1976 to 1977.
