| Synopsis | Chodenji Robo Combattler VThe Campbellians、 who had come from space during the Earth’s earliest period、 launch an invasion of humanity after a long period of time has elapsed.In anticipation of this、 Dr. Nanbara、 who belongs to the scientific institution、 the Nanbara Connection、 which had devised a countermove against aliens、 has begun development of a huge robot、 Combattler V、 by use of a super electromagnetic force.Along with this、 the doctor brings together from all over the country the selected pilot candidates、 Hyoma Aoi、 Juzo Naniwa、 Daisaku Nishikawa、 and Kosuke Kita、 and forms the Battle Team comprised of boys and girls、 to which Chizuru Nanbara、 his granddaughter is added、 with the aim of defending humanity.However、 the doctor gets drawn into the fighting with the Campbellians and dies、 but he leaves Combattler V to the team.A friend of the doctor、 Professor Yotsuya、 pulls the team together again.The Battle Team members are engaged in fierce fighting using Combattler V against Great General Garuda of the Campbellians、 in order to protect the future of the Earth. Although Garuda is an evil character、 he finds out that he is actually an android created by the Campbellians、 and fans sympathize with him struggling with his own existence. He became a pioneer villain in tragic dramas of that time.The story illustrates the strong ties and bravery of four members of the Battle Team、 and the strengthening of their hearts through caring for one another through many battles、 until peace on the Earth is restored at the end of the fighting by Empress Janera、 a female officer of an airborne vessel. |
