Synopsis

Mysterious Nile Girl ThutmoseSanae Nakajima, seemingly an ordinary senior high school student except for the fact that she is a descendant of ancient Egyptians, moves to a new apartment complex with her family. On this occasion, she visits an ancestral grave located nearby. Unfortunately, however, she accidentally releases 51 entities called the Devils of the Nile, who had been sealed inside a pyramid-like tombstone. Then, Sanae is granted the power to seal the devils by her ancestor Thutmose of the Nile, who had first sealed the devils. By chanting the incantation Ibn Battuta, Scarab Rouge, she transforms into the Thutmose the Second and undertakes the mission of getting rid of the devils. Thus, the battle begins between the Nile Girl Thutmose and Warusa, the Chairman of Nile Devil Labor Union. In order to protect her beloved ones from the clutches of the devils’ conspiracies, Sanae continues to save people every day, vowing to fight beautifully as long as the sun remains in the sky. This work, a tokusatsu (special effects) TV drama series produced by Toei, aired on the Fuji TV network from January to December 1991. The original concept was created by Shotaro Ishinomori, a famous manga artist renowned for Cyborg 009 and Kamen Rider. The series marks the 12th installment of the Toei Fushigi Comedy series, a programming slot that ran for 12 years from October 1981 to October 1993 on the Fuji TV network. Following the big success of Bishojo Kamen Poitrine (Beautiful Masked Girl Poitrin), it was produced as the second installment of the new Girl Heroine sub-series. It is remarkable that the script of every single episode was written by Yoshio Urasawa, despite being a year-long production.
