SynopsisAi-chan Will Go!Aiko Aida、 commonly called Ai-chan、 had no parents and lived with her uncle in a rural part of the Kyushu District. One day、 when she was told that her father was alive、 she decided to search for him. The only information about her father was that he had three moles on his back. During her journey、 Aiko and the traveling companions she met interacted with many people as she searched for her father、 visiting acquaintances across the country. Eventually、 she was reunited with her father、 Shuichi Hanamura. Then Aiko went to live with the now-wealthy Shuichi、 but she soon found herself bullied by his adoptive daughter and her new elder sister、 Kazumi、 as well as the household maids. Despite this、 she refused to give in and fought through each day、 struggling with the bullying situation. This is a TV drama series broadcast on the Fuji TV network between September 1972 and March 1973. It was produced collaboratively by Fuji TV and Daiei TV.Ryoko Sakaguchi、 who won the Miss Seventeen Contest、 played the lead role of Aiko Aida、 making her acting debut in this drama. After her lead role in this production、 Ryoko Sakaguchi went on to appear in numerous films and TV dramas、 including The Sign is V for which she was also selected to sing the theme song. So、 she quickly gained popularity among viewers as both an actress and a singer. With Mamoru Sasaki—a scriptwriter who would later engage in many works of the tokusatsu (special effects) anime genre—serving as the chief writer、 this series was originally produced for children. In addition、 this series was adapted into a manga by several different artists and serialized in Shogakukan’s girls' comic magazines between 1972 and 1973.
