Synopsis | UFO Daisensou: Tatakae! Red Tiger Dr. Amano is a genius robotics scientist who established the Japan Defense Laboratory for the purpose of concluding a galactic peace treaty. However、 Amano is attacked by the UFO Gang、 an organization led by Black Danger Witch King who plans to use the laboratory’s technology for evil ends. Amano is killed in the assault、 together with the gigantic fortress-type robot he developed. At the same time as the doctor’s death、 his wife、 Ai Amano、 loses her memory and goes missing. To make matters worse、 Black Danger’s minions draw closer to the late doctor’s three children、 Taiyo、 Tsukiko、 and Hoshio. The three are cornered in a perilous situation、 but then a mysterious hero named Red Tiger appears before them and saves their lives.After being saved by Red Tiger、 the three children set out to search for their mother、 who holds the key secret to the robot developed by their father、 Dr. Amano. The three siblings complete the Ranboru Giant、 a colossal robot and the last hope their father left them. Then、 to save the world from the invading UFO Gang、 they set off together with Red Tiger on a journey to find their mother. The true identity of Red Tiger is the siblings’ elder brother、 Ginga. This is revealed in the last episode.UFO Daisensou: Tatakae! Red Tiger is a tokusatsu TV series created by the animation firm Soeisha. It aired on Tokyo Channel 12 (present TV Tokyo) from April to December 1978.It is based on a hero that featured in a hero show performed by Oono Kenyuukai at Korakuen Amusement Park (present Tokyo Dome City Attractions).
