SynopsisGosei Sentai Dairenja、 Gosei Sentai Dairanger The Daos empire existed around 6000 BC. There、 the Gorma tribe、 who wielded sorcery、 and the Dai tribe、 who were skilled in the art of qigong、 built up a civilization. However、 the Gorma tribe declares dictatorship over the empire、 which led to the outbreak of war with the Dai tribe、 and as a result、 the empire was destroyed. When the battle was over、 the Gorma and Dai tribes disappeared、 but the Shura tribe remained and created a new civilization. As time passes into the present day、 the Gorma tribe suddenly resurrects and causes disaster after disaster、 attempting to paint modern society in a dark and gloomy light. After sensing this、 Kaku、 a Taoist priest who is a survivor of the Dai tribe、 bestows the power to control qigong on five young men、 Ryo、 Daigo、 Shoji、 Kazu、 and Rin、 who are chosen from the five stars in the sky and are descendants of the Dai tribe. The five transform themselves、 by combining the power given by Kaku with their own kung-fu and using the bracelet-shaped device Aura Changer、 into the Five-Star Squadron、 or Dairanger; Ryo is the red warrior Ryuu Ranger、 Daigo is the green warrior Shishi Ranger、 Shoji is the blue warrior Tenma Ranger、 Kazu is the yellow warrior Kirin Ranger、 and Rin is the pink warrior Houou Ranger. They fight fierce battles against the Gorma tribe’s army of monsters. Later、 Rin’s younger brother、 Kou、 a young boy in elementary school、 transforms into Kiba Ranger and joins to fight alongside the other members.Gosei Sentai Dairanger was produced by Toei and was the 17th tokusatsu superhero show in the Super Sentai series. It was broadcast from February 1993 to February 1994 on the TV Asahi network.
