SynopsisLocker no Hanako-san (Hanako Lives in a Locker)Hanako Kitaura、 commonly known as Hanako-san、 was famous within her company as an exceptionally talented office worker. However、 ten years ago、 she passed away in an unexpected accident. She became a Jibakurei (earthbound spirit) and settled inside a locker in the office、 where she created a glamorous room for herself. Eventually、 the locker she lived became famous as an unopenable locker. One day、 a new employee named Rufuko Komine accidentally opened the unopenable locker. There、 in a glamorous space、 was Hanako-san、 dressed in fashionable clothing. Hanako-san is visible only to a few employees、 including Rufuko. Although initially startled、 Rufuko soon begins to consult Hanako-san about her mistakes at work and her own lack of experience. Having been consulted by her juniors、 Hanako-san uses her own expertise to help、 guide、 and encourage Rufuko and other female office workers. This work was broadcast on NHK General TV from August 26 to October 3、 2002、 as the first installment of a continuous television series、 and the second installment aired from October 6 to November 6、 2003、 with Rie Tomosaka starring in both the series. Her appearance as Hanako-san、 perfectly wearing stylish clothes、 is one of the highlights of the drama. The work is based on the manga Locker no Hanako-san (Hanako-san Lives in a Locker) created by Mayumi Ishii、 which was serialized in Shueisha's Chorus from 1996 to 1999. Furthermore、 a sequel titled Shin Locker no Hanako-san (New Hanako-san Lives in a Locker) was serialized in the same publisher's Young You from 2002 to 2003.
