SynopsisShibatora Dogan Keiji! Shijo Saidai no Kiki Special Taketora Shibata、 aka Shibatora、 is a baby-faced but hot-blooded police detective who has a gentle heart. Due to a past near-death experience、 he acquired a special ability called “Death’s Hand、” which enables him to recognize people who are nearing death.He forms a team with some childhood friends; using his ability to identify supernatural phenomena、 Shibatora works with his team to solve numerous juvenile crime cases associated with a mysterious figure known as Kijin.Six months later、 the team members、 having solved many cases、 are enjoying a party. Then、 suddenly、 an explosion occurs at a nearby high school、 and the team receives a message from the perpetrator、 who calls himself Kijin. This marks the beginning of more cases. Taketora rises again、 leading his team on an investigation to solve these new cases.Shibatora Dogan Keiji! is a detective TV series that aired on the Fuji TV network from July to September 2008. Shibatora Dogan Keiji! Shijo Saidai no Kiki Special aired in the Premium Saturday block in May 2009. The leading character、 Taketora Shibata、 was played by Teppei Koike、 an actor who has played key parts in TV series such as Gokusen and Dragon Zakura. The series is based on a shonen manga collaboratively developed by Shin Kibayashi 、 who created the popular manga Psychometrer Eiji、 and manga artist Masashi Asaki、 based on a detective theme. The manga was serialized by Kodansha in Weekly Shonen Magazine from 2007 to 2009.
