| Synopsis | H2: Kimi to Ita Hibi The TV series is based on the manga H2 by Mitsuru Adachi、 who is known for hit series such as Touch. The manga was serialized by Shogakukan in Weekly Shonen Sunday from issue 32 of 1992 to issue 50 of 1999. The story portrays the youth of、 and romantic relationships between、 four individuals、 revolving around high school baseball.Hiro Kunimi used to be the top player in the baseball team during his junior high school days. However、 he injured his elbow and is now a member of the soccer team at high school. Senkawa High School does not have an official baseball team、 only a baseball fan club. One day、 the soccer team and the fan club get into a dispute over the team’s attempt to recruit the fan club’s manager、 Haruka Koga、 as well as the use of the sports field. Tired of the soccer team’s members making fun of the baseball fan club、 Hiro quits the team and joins the fan club. Soon、 the principal makes an unreasonable demand to the fan club: promotion to an official team if they win、 or disbandment if they lose. The fan club is forced to play against the prestigious Meiwa Daiichi High School. Although the fan club loses a close game with Meiwa Daiichi High School’s farm team、 the principal is deeply impressed by the fan club’s hard efforts and recognizes it as an official baseball team. Hiro’s friend and rival、 Hideo Tachibana、 and his childhood friend、 Hikari Amamiya、 both go to Meiwa Daiichi High School、 and Hiro reunites with them through the game. As the Senkawa High School baseball team begins training to win the National High School Baseball Championship、 the relationships between the main protagonists、 Hiro、 Haruka、 Hideo、 and Hikari、 start shifting.The TV series aired in the Thursday 10 p.m. slot on the TBS network from January 13 to March 24、 2005. Takayuki Yamada plays the lead role of Hiro Kunimi. Among the manga works by Mitsuru Adachi、 H2 has the most bittersweet ending. The TV series followed this structure、 focusing on the relationship between Hiro and Haruka. |
