SynopsisArc the LadElk is a descendant of the fire-wielding Pyurka tribe. His hometown was raided、 and he is kept captive in the White House、 a research institution of the superpower Romalia.Later、 Elk escapes from the White House. Traveling with the mysterious but top-notch hunter Shu、 Elk searches for information about the White House to save a young girl and friend Miril who he left at the White House.During one of his missions、 Elk comes across a young girl called Liza who is being pursued by a mysterious organization、 and he decides to travel with her to protect her.Then、 the Silver Noah、 the airship that raided Elk’s hometown、 appears.Amid the crisis、 Elk and his companions manage to get to the White House、 but there they see Miril who has become a chimera、 a human-monster hybrid.It is Arc、 the leader of the Silver Noah、 that saves Elk who has lost Miril.After learning that it was not Arc and his team who raided the Pyurka tribe、 and that they are standing up against Romalia’s tyranny、 Elk joins them in the fight against Romalia. However、 Liza is kidnapped during the fight.Elk and Arc march into Romalia’s Chimera Research Headquarters to save Liza、 defeat the enemy who has gained formidable strength by using Liza’s powers、 and save Liza.Arc the Lad is an anime series based on the role-playing game Arc the Lad II that was developed by G-Craft. It ran in 26 episodes on WOWOW starting in April 1999. It was also adapted into a manga that was released in Enix’s Monthly Shonen Gangan.
