SynopsisBemu Bemu Hanta Kotengu TenmaruYokai Land is said to exist on the other side of the human world. All kinds of yokai、 or ghosts and monsters、 live in Yokai Land.A great yokai known as Tengu Daio (Great King Tengu) has been ruling the land for three thousand years. Tengu Daio has an only son called Kotengu Tenmaru、 who is a clumsy and rough boy.While everyone is preoccupied with the annual Yokai Festival、 Tenmaru、 along with the young crow-billed tengu Kuro、 secretly sneaks into Osore-yama、 a mountain where entry is forbidden. Osore-yama is a yokai prison in which 108 evil yokai are locked away. There、 Tenmaru is tricked by a cute but evil yokai girl to unlock the prison doors. The evil convicts go on a rampage in Yokai Land、 which is celebrating the yokai festival、 and then escape into the human world.The furious Tengu Daio breaks Tenmaru’s nose and orders him to eliminate the 108 yokai. Tenmaru is given the Seven Tools、 mysterious tools for defeating yokai、 and sent to the human world along with Kuro.In the human world、 Tenmaru gets to know the pretty human girl Yoko and many other humans. Together with Nina、 He fights the 108 yokai led by the demon king Bemura、 who wants to put his evil plans into action. Born as a princess of the Ryujin Tribe (Deity Dragon Tribe)、 which is second to the tengu、 Nina is Tenmaru’s fiance and has followed him to the human world.Bemu Bemu Hanta Kotengu Tenmaru was created by Toei Animation and first aired on the Fuji TV network in 1991.It is based on a manga by Taro Kabutomushi that was serialized in Comic BomBom from 1982 to 1984.
