SynopsisWolf’s RainIn a world that is cooling due to the onset of an ice age、 once-prosperous cities have collapsed、 and civilization is gradually heading toward destruction. The ruined towns are ruled by aristocrats、 under whom people live a poor、 unfree life. One day、 a boy named Kiba appears in town.Kiba is a wolf––a legendary beast that went extinct 200 years ago. Using his ability to transform into human form、 he has secretly survived by blending into human society.Kiba’s hometown and friends were reduced to ashes by humans. In despair、 with no pack or place to call home、 Kiba has been traveling around the world to find Paradise、 a sanctuary for wolves that exists somewhere out there、 following the scent of the Lunar Flower that is said to grow in Paradise. On the journey、 he meets Tsume、 the leader of wolves that can transform themselves into human form just like himself; Hige、 a wolf who lives a vagrant life while blending into the town; and Toboe、 who is kept by a human. Although they sometimes fall out、 they come to recognize each other and decide to travel together. They come across Cheza、 a red-eyed girl who was created by alchemy from a Lunar Flower、 and use her as a clue to get closer to Paradise. However、 they are confronted by humans who pursue Cheza for their own ends.Wolf’s Rain is an original anime television series that aired on the Fuji TV network from 2003. The music was created by Yoko Kanno、 who was also in charge of the music for Macross Frontier and Cowboy Bebop.
