| Synopsis | HELLSING、 HellsingThe story is set in late 20th century England. Female police officer Seras Victoria is sent to investigate a crime committed by a vampire pastor in Cheddar Village、 but she is severely injured during the investigation. A vampire called Alucard、 a vampire hunter wearing a red long coat with sunglasses、 appears before Seras and sucks her blood、 transforming her into his servant vampire. Together with Seras、 who takes time to accept that she has become a vampire、 Alucard completes many missions given to him by the Royal Order of Protestant Knights、 or Hellsing Organization. Meanwhile、 Hellsing Organization is raided by an organization known as Millennium. (It is later revealed that members of Millennium Organization are remnants of the Nazis、 but this is not mentioned at all in the anime adaption.) In his struggle with Millennium Organization、 Alucard and Seras find out that a man known as “the Major” leads the organization. The Major declares and launches a war against the UK; meanwhile、 a Vatican organization known as Iscariot also intervenes with the aim of conquering the UK. Alucard and his team face their enemies in the final battle that takes place in London、 which has descended into unprecedented chaos due to the clash between the three forces. In the fight、 Alucard falls into a trap set by the Major and is destroyed、 but London is saved thanks to his demise. Thirty years later、 Alucard、 who was thought to have been destroyed、 reappears、 dismantles the Major’s trap、 and returns to Hellsing Organization. Many original elements were developed for the anime adaptation、 resulting in mixed views from fans. |
