SynopsisKakyusei、 Underclass StudentTsuyoshi Yamaguchi is a student at Uzuki Gakuen high school. Although sincere in nature、 his kindness to girls in general is the source of constant rumors.In the spring of his senior year、 on his way to school Tsuyoshi comes across Ai Minamizato、 a junior year student at Uzuki Gakuen、 who is trying to save a kitten that is stuck in a tree.Ai is a gentle natured girl who is so innocent that she blushes immediately. She falls in love with Tsuyoshi who helps her get the kitten down.Learning Ai’s feelings for him、 Tsuyoshi also grows fond of her. However、 Ai’s best friend、 Miyuki Iijima、 tries to distance Tsuyoshi from Ai because of the bad rumors about his womanizing.But as Miyuki interacts with Tsuyoshi because of her concern for Ai、 she comes to recognize his sincere nature. She falls in love with him too、 despite knowing that her best friend Ai has a crush on him.Ai and Miyuki、 who have been best friends、 do not know which to choose: friendship or love for Tsuyoshi.Tsuyoshi and Ai happen to grow apart、 but Miyuki、 who has decided to give up on Tsuyoshi、 brings them back together again.Tsuyoshi and Ai decide to go out with each other thanks to Miyuki’s encouragement、 and the couple get married after graduating.Kakyusei [Underclass Student] aired as a late-night anime show in 1999 (13 episodes in total).
