SynopsisDokkiri Dokuta、 Dokkiri DoctorSituated on the rooftop of Nanaboshi Elementary School is an ill-matched、 strange mansion. The weird mansion is actually Shirobara Clinic—a clinic that also functions as the school clinic—headed by Haruka Nishikikoji、 a mad scientist、 or rather mad doctor、 who is the creator of numerous ingenious inventions. Haruka is timid natured despite his terrifying Frankenstein-like face. He is a kind person who can never turn away a student in trouble. He tries to solve students’ problems with his own inventions but always manages to mess things up. Haruka is in love with Miyuki Koizumi、 a childhood friend and nurse working at Shirobara Clinic. He neglects his duties and creates mysterious inventions to impress Miyuki、 constantly causing trouble in the school with the other faculty members、 Miyuki’s younger sister Mayumi Koizumi、 Yukihiro Hongo、 who has a crush on Mayumi、 and other characters.Dokkiri Doctor is a comedy anime series revolving around the bustling、 comical everyday interaction between Haruka and other unique characters、 as well as featuring various inventions. It is based on the manga by Fujihiko Hosono—creator of Sasuga no Sarutobi and Gallery Fake—serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday from 1981 to 1982. The anime adaptation was created 16 years after the serialization ended.
