SynopsisIe Naki Ko Remi、 Sans FamilleRemy Barberin is a girl living in a rural town in France. Although poor、 she lives happily with her mother Anne and sister Nana.One day、 however、 Remy’s father Jerome、 who has been working far away from home、 returns severely injured、 and Remy happens to learn that she was abandoned by her real parents.Barely able to make ends meet、 Jerome tries to sell Remy to a slave dealer、 but she is saved by an itinerant performer named Vitalis. The two begin traveling together.Vitalis falls ill during their journey; just before he dies、 he tells Remy to go to Gaspard’s house in Paris. Remy heads to Paris along with the company’s animals. However、 it turns out that Gaspard is an evil man who buys orphaned children and forces them to make money by pickpocketing and extortion. Even under these dire circumstances、 Remy develops a bond with a boy named Mattia、 the leader of the kids in Gaspard’s gang.One day、 she happens to run into Milligan、 who she first met in Toulouse、 and learns that Milligan is her real mother. Despite many obstacles、 Remy reunites with her mother Milligan thanks to the help of many people.After that、 Remy is officially taken in by Milligan、 and she begins a happy new life with her friends who were there in hard times、 her foster mother Anne、 and sister Nana.Sans Famille aired on the Fuji TV network from 1996 to 1997.
