SynopsisMajikaru Hatto、 Magical Hat A long time ago、 legendary hero Magical Hat confronts an evil king who lives in the Devildom and threatens the world. Manipulating his magical supernatural powers、 the hero fiercely fights against the evil king and finally seals him in an island in another world to restore peace to the world. Many years have passed. Fourth-grade boy Hat and his parents、 who research the tradition of the hero’s battle、 visit the Uson Island where the evil king is said to be sealed. They find a huge hole in the center of the island and begin to investigate. However、 a big earthquake suddenly occurs、 causing Hat to fall into the hole. Hat wakes up and finds himself in the Devildom、 and learns that he is a descendant of the hero of the legend. Then、 the evil king wakes up after a long sleep and splits the Uson Island、 where he has been sealed、 into seven pieces. To restore the island to the original state and reseal the evil king、 Hat fights monster Ziak、 who plots to conquer the world in the Devildom、 and his son Kowar、 and he embarks on a quest as the second-generation hero together with girl Spin、 Hotken、 Robog、 and others who have gathered to him. This anime television series was created by Studio Pierrot as an another-world adventure fantasy and aired from 1989 to 1990. The manga series was also serialized in Shogakukan’s CoroCoro Comic in parallel with the progression of broadcasting. Incidentally、 the anime’s theme song adds a playful touch as its lyrics repeatedly includes strange magic words、 “Majikaru Majikaru Shiubonouhoma 、” which means “Mahou no Boushi (magical hut)” when a part of the phrase is read backwards.
