| Synopsis | Haisukuru! Kimengumi、 High School! KimengumiYui Kawa and Chie Uru are two girls who lead an ordinary junior high school life. However、 their boring school life is completely changed by an infamous group of five boys known as the Kimengumi. The five boys are the group’s leader Rei Ichido、 the aggressive tough guy Go Reietsu、 Kiyoshi Shusse、 who is good at flipping skirts、 the easygoing and greedy Jin Daima、 and Dai Monohoshi、 who has a girly personality. Even though they are aware of their respective idiosyncratic traits、 they lead a free and slightly absurd school life based on their determination to “confidently bring out their personalities even if ridiculed by others、 and to become seasoning that adds taste to the world.” Yui likes the unique personalities of the Kimengumi、 while Chie acts as the comedic foil to the members who do amusing things. The two girls get involved in various strange incidents revolving around the Kimengumi.High School! Kimengumi is a gag comedy series made up of standalone episodes in which Kimengumi’s members use their transforming powers、 for instance、 the ability to extend and shrink their limbs to transform into animals、 to carry out incomprehensible and eccentric feats during club activities and school events. The show starts with episodes set in junior high school that are based on Motoei Shinzawa’s manga Third Year Kimengumi. In later episodes、 the characters go on to a fictional school called Ichio High School、 which is the main setting of High School! Kimengumi、 and the story focuses high school life with a comedy touch. |
