SynopsisTV Obake Teremonja、 TV Ghost TeremonjaFor some reason、 the Hayashi family can only get Channel 8 (Fuji TV) on their TV.Their only son Tombo、 who is a fourth grader at elementary school、 is not happy because he cannot watch popular shows on other channels. He tries to destroy the TV so his parents will get a new one、 but he is prevented by a strange ghost that appears from the TV.The ghost calls itself Teremon and says it was born from debris left over from radio waves.Teremon has the mysterious power to go into the TV. Using Teremon’s power、 Tombo manages to obtain an autograph of the favorite celebrity of Sayaka、 the girl he has a crush on. Tombo and Teremon begin to get along very well since then.However、 Tombo’s parents are scared of Teremon and throw the TV away. But Tombo retrieves the TV from the junkyard to save Teremon. Teremon is grateful to Tombo and decides to live with the Hayashi family.Tombo and Teremon deepen their bond through their involvement in numerous incidents caused by the owner of the local electrical store who intends to make the Hayashi family buy a new TV and who、 thanks to the power of the god of electricity、 can transform into “The Great Denki、” a superhero for electric appliance manufacturers、 as well as a variety of celebrities who appear from the TV.TV Ghost Teremonja first aired in 1985 on the Fuji TV network. It is based on a story developed by Shotaro Ishinomori、 who is known for developing numerous tokusatsu series such as Kamen Rider and Android Kikaider.
