SynopsisDasshu Kappei、 Dash KappeiKappei Sakamoto is a first year student at Seirin Private High School. He is short、 tends to get carried away、 and、 most problematically、 loves white panties.Whenever he has the chance、 he would sneak into the girls changing room looking for white panties using his astonishing athletic abilities、 and then run away with incredible speed. Captain Tachibana of the school basketball club sees Kappei’s agility and tries to recruit him. Kappei turns down the offer because he is not interested in basketball. However、 once he learns that the pretty coach of the basketball team、 Kaori Natsu、 wears white panties from lifting her skirt、 he immediately decides to join the club. But since Kappei has joined for impure reasons and knows absolutely nothing about basketball、 at first he is excluded from the team. Thanks to his genius athletic abilities and guts、 however、 he overcomes many difficult matches and problems、 leading Seirin’s basketball team to victory.Meanwhile、 Kappei befriends Akane Aki、 a girl from Seirin’s rival school Tennoji High School. Later、 Akane transfers to Seirin High School from Tennoji High School and becomes the basketball club’s manager. Together with Kappei and the others、 she leads a busy but fulfilling life revolving around basketball and love.Created by Tatsunoko Production、 Dash Kappei is a television anime series that aired from 1981 to 1982 on the Fuji TV network. The series is based on a sports gag manga by Noboru Rokuda that was serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday from 1979 to 1982.
