| Synopsis | Sasuga no SarutobiShinobi no Mono High School、 a private educational institution for training ninjas in the modern world、 presents itself as an ordinary private high school. Nikumaru Sarutobi is the grandson of the school’s founder. Although being a short、 fat man、 who at first glance would not be considered a ninja、 Nikumaru is a highly-capable ninja and the best in the whole school. Despite his lewd and gluttonous nature、 he leads a dream life with Mako Kiriga、 the school’s prettiest female ninja; the two are bonded by mutual love.The story revolves around the love relationship between Nikumaru and Mako who go to Shinobi no Mono High School、 while depicting their fight against assassins sent from Sniper High School、 a rival school that trains spies specializing in modern machinery. Although Nikumaru is usually just a lewd、 unreliable guy、 he acts like a man when Mako is in trouble、 using his original ninja technique、 Kamikaze no Jutsu、 to drive off the enemy and save her.Other characters include Nikumaru’s pet pig Nin-ton、 whose training at Shinobi no Sato (ninja village) has given him abilities surpassing even those of a police dog、 Yuichiro Hattori、 a transfer student from Sniper High School who respects Nikumaru、 and his homeroom teacher Kenichiro Ogata、 whose long training has made him so awkward with women that he has a nosebleed every time he gets too excited. The series depicts Nikumaru’s life at Shinobi no Mono High School with his unique friends in a comical manner. The series is a comedy in nature、 including lewd and sexual scenes that may be considered undesirable today.Although based on the original manga、 the animation series incorporated numerous new elements. Special episodes were also created、 including parodies of movies popular at the time as well as newly-developed stories set in the prehistoric age and Edo period. |
