| Synopsis | Kariage-kunShota Kariage is a man with a distinctive clean-cut hairstyle who works in the Sales Division at Honnyara Industries. He hates currying favor with his superiors and is an eccentric character that avoids being the same as others. However、 he is a genius at pranks.Shota regularly sleeps during work、 as well as repeatedly playing pranks on Mr. Kimura、 the manager of the Sales Division、 and President Kinoshita of Honnyara Industries. His colleagues Yoshikawa、 Sato、 and Tachikawa call him a burden on the company. And even though Shota is despised by Futoko and other female employees due to his lack of flattery and outspoken attitude、 he likes good-looking women. In short、 he is a difficult person to get along with. Shota’s eccentric actions disrupt everyday life at work.The series presents a comical depiction of life as a Japanese company worker、 as well as aspects of the daily life、 social life、 and work of a single man.An original feature was added to the anime adaptation: Shota scratches the clear-cut part of the back of his head with his hand、 which is a signal for when he plays a prank.Kariage-kun is an anime series based on a long-running four-panel cartoon that appeared over 1、500 times in the Futabasha magazines Manga Action、 Manga Town、 Manga Town Original、 and Weekly Taishu from 1980 to 2010. Each 30-minute episode comprises three short stories revolving around the pranks Shota plays in his everyday life. |
