SynopsisMirai Keisatsu Urashiman、 Future Police UrashimanOne stormy night in 1983、 a boy is caught in a special phenomenon known as the Urashima Effect that causes him to be transported in time to the year 2050. Although he loses his memory due to time travel、 he acquires supernatural powers instead. He is found and taken care of by Claude Mizusawa、 a member of the police traffic division. However、 the two are then attacked by a group of criminals who call themselves the criminal empire Necrime. They meet a nun named Sophia Nina Rose while escaping from the criminals and manage to evade their pursuers with her help. After this incident、 the boy、 Claude、 and Sophia are recruited by a detective working at a mobile police station called Mobile Machine Branch Station Magna Police 38 that was created to deal with Necrime. The boy gains the new name、 Ryu Urashima、 and、 together with Claude and Sophia、 deals with numerous crimes committed by Necrime in the future city Neo Tokyo.Mirai Keisatsu Urashiman is a future-police science fiction action anime series produced by Tatsunoko Production、 which aired on Fuji TV in 1983. The early episodes had a comical touch to cater to a young audience、 but later on the series assumed a more serious、 hard-boiled character、 garnering much attention for its diverse story. In 2012、 Mirai Keisatsu Urashiman won the most votes among the 10 series nominated for the 50th Anniversary Commemoration: You Decide Which Show You Want to Watch! Tatsunoko Production Masterpiece Anime General Election、 demonstrating the series’ long-lasting popularity.
