To make money for his father’s treatment、 Romeo decides to sell himself to Luini as a chimney sweep and heads to Milan of Italy. His life as a chimney sweep is harsh. And because he is a foreigner、 he is regarded as an enemy by Milan’s street gang called the Wolf Pack.Although his days were hard、 he meets and becomes close friends with a boy named Alfredo.Romeo and Alfredo gather the chimney sweeps who are in the same situation and organize a group named the Black Brothers. And together they face various difficulties including the Wolf Pack gang.Meanwhile、 Romeo finds out that Alfredo is a child of a noble family and that he was falsely accused of arson murder in the past. To prove Alfredo’s innocence、 Romeo barges into the banquet held by the king of Italy.Witnessing the strong bond between the two boys surpassing their differences、 the king sees straight through that Alfredo has been falsely accused of the crime and restores his honor. After this、 although Alfredo dreamed of creating a world where everyone can study and live freely、 because of lung tuberculosis caused by working as a chimney sweep、 he passes away without making his dream come true. But Romeo eventually accomplishes Alfredo’s dream for him.
