| Synopsis | Shinmai Mao no Keiyakusha (Tesutamento) DEPARTURES、 The Testament of Sister New Devil DEPARTURESBasara Tojo is a high schooler. One day、 his father suddenly gets remarried. Basara begins a new life with his stepsisters Mio and Maria Naruse、 who are succubi and daughters of the former Demon Lord of the Demon World. Basara transfers to Mio’s high school、 where he reunites with his childhood friend Yuki Nonaka、 who is a member of the Hero Tribe. Later、 using Mio’s Demon Lord powers、 Basara goes through numerous battles against the assassins sent by the current Demon Lord together with his many companions、 and then he defeats Demon Lord Leohart and brings the conflict to an end.They are returning to peaceful life、 but one day、 a letter of instruction arrives from Hero Village along with orders for all heroes to return. The letter instructs that Basara and Mio、 who defeated the Demon Lord、 be taken back with them to Hero Village.A spy from the Demon World、 Yahiro Takigawa、 considers it dangerous for the Demon Lord’s daughter to visit a hostile country、 so he appears before Basara and tries to stop him. Basara has sworn to protect Mio with his life. Recognizing Basara’s determination through fighting with him、 Yahiro entrusts Basara with Mio.Basara returns to his companions. Mio and the others learn about his will、 and they decide to become stronger together and visit Hero Village. Basara too recognizes the determination of Mio and his other companions and decides to travel to Hero Village with them.The Testament of Sister New Devil DEPARTURES is an OVA sequel to the Testament of Sister New Devil television anime series that was created by Production IMS and aired in 2015. It was released theatrically as part of an event. It was rated R15+、 which may be because it is more graphic than the television series.It is based on a romantic comedy/fantasy light novel revolving around combat by Tetsuto Uesu that was published under Kadokawa’s Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint from 2012 to 2021. |
