Kagaku Sentai Dainaman, Kagaku Sentai DynamanLife forms carried along with a meteorite that struck Earth in ancient times have evolved over many centuries. They are the Tailed-People Clan Jashinka. The Jashinka usually live underground. Their rank is determined by the number of tails they have. Dreaming of living above ground, they launch an invasion of Earth using technology that surpasses that of humanity.First, the Jashinka cause volcanic eruptions across Japan, and then they send in their imperial forces.Scientist Kyutaro Yumeno has anticipated this; in response to the invasion, he gathers excellent scientists to his Invention Laboratory and forms an organization to fight against the Jashinka Empire.Five young scientists with outstanding talent from the organization are given specially reinforced gear developed by Yumeno called Dyna Suits and form the Kagaku Sentai Dynaman.The five members in Dyna Suits are Hokuto Dan, who becomes Dyna Red serving as team leader; Ryu Hoshikawa, who becomes Dyna Black; a descendant of a ninja clan, ocean-loving scholar Yosuke Shima, who becomes Dyna Blue; agricultural researcher Kosaku Nango, who becomes Dyna Yellow; and animal language specialist Rei Tachibana, who becomes Dyna Pink. As Kagaku Sentai Dynaman, they combine their powers to protect humanity from the Jashinka Empire’s invasion.Kagaku Sentai Dynaman was created by Toei Animation as the 7th installment of the Super Sentai tokusatsu series. It aired on the TV Asahi network from February 1983 to January 1984. Kagaku Sentai Dynaman was the first show of the Sentai Series in which Yutaka Izubuchi, who later served as general director of Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2199, participated in the design of the enemy monster characters.
