However, he is attacked by Desdark’s minions, and is saved by a young adventurer named Kenichi Akama. Desdark immediately initiates its plan, declaring war on humanity to take over the world.In response, Dr. Hongo puts his own secret plan into action: using a high performance computer, he gives Kenichi and four other selected youths special combat suits that will enable them to fight against Desdark. As a result, Kenichi transforms into Goggle Red, after which the four other gathered youths transform as well: Kanpei Kuroda into Goggle Black, Saburo Aoyama into Goggle Blue, Futoshi Kijima into Goggle Yellow, and Miki Momozono into Goggle Pink. The five youths form Dai Sentai Goggle-V and stand up against Desdark’s scientists in the name of peace. This was the first Super Sentai series in which a member named “Black” appeared. This helped dispel the conventional association of black with evil, which had a significant influence on subsequent Super Sentai series.
