Through further investigation, Seiya finds out that the agency was disbanded due to a fall out between the trainee detective Ryosuke Noda and his assistant Kyoko Izumi. Seiya looks into the matter further to help them reconcile with each other. To defend his name as the gluttonous detective Kuitan, Seiya goes on to tackle new cases, determined to rebuild the agency together with his former colleagues.Kuitan 2 is a sequel to Kuitan, a detective series based on the theme of food that aired from January to March 2006. It aired on the Nippon Television network from April to July 2007 on Saturdays.It is based on a manga by Daisuke Terasawa, the creator of Mister Ajikko, that was serialized in the seinen manga magazine Evening from 2002 to 2009. However, the TV series’ setting and other elements are very different from the original manga.
