Synopsis
Sutoppu Hibari-kun, Stop!! Hibari-kun!Kosaku Sakamoto is a high school student who has been raised by his single mother. But after his mother dies, he goes to live with Ibari Ozora, who knew his mother, as well as other members of the Ibari family. When Kosaku sees a sign saying “Ozora Group, Kanto Yakuza Association” on the gate of the house, he realizes that the Ozoras are not ordinary people but part of the yakuza world. Kosaku is not sure whether he should run or not, but then a pretty girl appears and gives him a smile. Kosaku falls in love with the girl at first sight and decides to live with the Ozoras. But it turns out that the girl is a boy; he is Hibari Ozora, the eldest son and future heir to the Ozora Group. Not only does Hibari go to the same school as Kosaku, but he is also one of Kosaku’s classmates. At school, Hibari conceals his true gender and lives as a girl. Pretending to have a crush on Kosaku, he openly flirts with Kosaku. Kosaku often gets involved in trouble due to Hibari’s behavior, such as being constantly harassed by Makoto Shina, a classmate who believes Hibari is a girl and likes her, which makes life busy and hard.In addition to the comical relationship between Kosaku and Hibari, the series depicts the romantic affairs of Hibari’s sisters Tsugumi, Tsubame, and Suzume, as well as Makoto Shina and other classmates. The television anime series ran from 1983 to 1984 in 35 episodes. It is based on the namesake manga by Hisashi Eguchi that was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump.
